Have Questions? We’ve Got Answers.

What is the PatientPartner Mentor Program?

The program connects patients who have experience with COPD and clinical trials to those who are new to clinical trials. Through one-on-one conversations, mentors share their personal experiences to help others feel less alone and more informed as they go through their treatment journey. Mentors are volunteers, not medical professionals or company representatives, and do not provide medical advice.

What is PatientPartner?

PatientPartner is the secure platform that powers the Mentor Program. It provides a safe and private space where mentors and mentees can exchange messages and share personal experiences.

What does a mentor do?

A PatientPartner mentor shares their personal journey with COPD and being in a clinical trial to provide perspective and understanding. Their role is to listen, share their experience, and help others feel supported as they go through their treatment process.

Mentors support trial participants by:

  • Offering emotional support and understanding
  • Sharing personal experience living with their condition and diagnosis
  • Describing what it was like to participate in a clinical trial, from their perspective
  • Helping others feel less alone as they move through their own journey
How much time does it take?

It’s flexible! You decide when you’re available and how often you want to connect. Most mentors spend just a few hours a month messaging others through the platform.

Is my information private?

Yes. All communication happens securely within the PatientPartner platform, and your personal information is never shared publicly or with mentees.
