Among mentor-connected patients
68%131 of 193 connected patients. Self-reported, observational findings; not a measured increase in treatment starts. Results vary by program.
The study: PatientPartner examined 263 prospective patients, 193 mentor connections, and 48 mentors over a 12-month period.
What patients reported: 131 of the 193 connected patients (68%) requested a physician referral, treatment scheduling, or a prescription refill. Separately, 137 (71%) said the mentor connection was impactful in moving forward with treatment.
How to interpret the findings: This observational study relied on patient self-reporting and did not assess long-term outcomes. A request for a next step is not confirmation that treatment started, and the findings do not establish a causal lift in starts or adherence.
